Navigating The Journey

To all 8th grade parents:  8th grade students were supposed to participate in a presentation during their PAMS time on October 12th, which unfortunately was the day school was cancelled due to the storm.  The presentation provides information on various opportunities available to students as rising 9th graders, including academy information, military affiliated programs, Advanced Technology Center, Governor’s School for the Arts, Center for Career and Technical Education, Green Run Collegiate, and International Baccalaureate programs. The presentation has been linked to your students’ Schoology accounts so that all pertinent information is accessible to them and to you during the application process.  Please ask your student to review the presentation with you.  Navigating the Journey, a resource fair for all academic and career related programs, will be held on October 16th, from 5:30-8 at the Virginia Beach Convention Center (flier attached).  This is a great way to initiate interest and gauge enthusiasm regarding your student and their desire to apply to any of these programs. If you have any questions, please feel free to email Corey McGinnis, 8th grade counselor, at [email protected]  or via phone:  757-648-4962. Thank you!
