Student Dress Code

The following dress code was developed in cooperation with the faculty and staff, the Principal’s Student Advisory Council and the PTSA Executive Board.

Leggings and yoga pants may only be worn underneath clothing that meets
approximately finger-tip length.*

Shorts and skirts must be approximately finger-tip length or reach
approximately mid-thigh.

Revealing clothing including excessively tight or form fitting clothing
(spandex), wide-necked tops or other clothing that overly exposes may not
be worn.

Clothing may not expose midriff or lower back.

Tube tops, strapless tops, or tops with spaghetti straps are not permitted.

Shirts without sleeves be, at minimum, three fingers width, and must not
expose the underarms or sides.

Undergarments should not be visible, including straps.

Garments with words or graphics that would be offensive to others are not

Clothing may not have holes above approximately finger-tip length.

Students are not permitted to wear hats or wear the hoodies of their
sweatshirts on their heads.

Pajamas and sleepwear are prohibited.

*When a student stands upright with shoulders relaxed, the clothing item should
reach approximately finger-tip length.
