The Virginia Beach School Board received information about proposed federal grant applications at its May 14 meeting. For the 2024-25 school year, Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) would receive approximately $21.1 million in formula grant funds through programs authorized under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA) as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015 (ESSA).

Important Notes

  • A Virginia Beach Middle School League physical form ("Updated May 2021") dated on or after May 1, 2024 by a doctor/physician must be on file in the Student Activities Office in order to tryout for an athletic team or be involved with the intramural program. Physical forms can be obtained from the main office or by clicking on the Athletic Physical Form. Please note that the blue “School Entrance Health Forms” and recreation sports physical forms are not accepted as athletic physical forms.
